Faculty and staff of the Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College, Department of Arts and Sciences (ZCSPC DAS) treated themselves to a day of fun on October 2 at the Pasonanca Park, this city, in connection with the celebration of Teachers’ Month from September 5 to October 5.
It was a joy to see the group let their hair down and exhibit the exuberance of children as they played and joked by the wigwams of Scout Limbaga Park. With deep curiosity and wide-eyed wonder, they tinkered with the inventions displayed in the ineractive Parque de Ciencia de Zamboanga. And awe-struck, they walked through the display at the El Museo de Zamboanga, going back to the city’s past as if riding on a time machine. A dip in the refreshing pool capped the whole day’s activities.
The group was led by Elizabeth Jane P. Sebastian and Judith Maghanoy, dean and associate dean, respectively, of DAS.
It was a well-deserved break and it fed on the teachers’ and staff’s hunger for recreation and a sense of awe and wonder. (Evelyn C. Luceño)

Oh, the joy of connecting with the child within!
