The ZCSPC Cantamos Chorale successfully held a concert dubbed as One Heart, One Melody, One Journey Concert on July 5 at the Zamboanga City Coliseum. The concert featured one of Ms. Saigon’s casts – Mr. Joel Bustamante, local personalities such as Rev. Father Butch Candido, Voice Diva Alyanna Galvez, the Angels Choir of Sta. Maria, the ZCSPC Dance Troupe, the ADZU Orchestra Band and other local talented artists.
The concert was an initiative of Mr. Elmer Atilano, Director of the ZCSPC Cantamos Chorale for the purpose of raising funds to support the travel expenses of the group to an international choir competition called 4th Sumatera International Choir Competition to be held on August 27-31, 2019 at Parapat-Laguboti, Lake Toba, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The group will be competing with other choir groups from other countries. The ZCSPC Cantamos Chorale is one of the few invited choir group to compete in such a prestigious competition. There will be a total of 21 members who will perform in said competition, all of them are currently enrolled in the College except for 5 who were former Cantamos Chorale members.
The Cantamos Chorale wishes to thank the people behind who made the event successful specifically the school president – Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, the PEA Adviser – Mr. Dexter Paclibar, the parents of the Cantamos Chorale members, Mr. Poly Enriquez, Prof. Norma Conti, Former ZCSPC President – Dr. Nora M. Ponce and other persons tirelessly working behind the scene for the successful conduct of the concert.
