Ms. Janet C. Solis, Associate Professor III and a faculty of the College of Teacher Education, presented her paper entitled “Mga  Kultural na Termeno ng Badjao sa  Lungsod ng Zamboanga “ at the The Fifth  International Conference on Philippine and Asian Studies Language, Culture and Media held at De La Salle University, Lipa, Batangas City on May 9 to 11, 2019. Ms. Solis’ paper passed thru series of evaluation and scrutiny by the organizing committee of the event before it was officially accepted at the International Conference. Said conference was organized by the Dalubhasaan ng mga Umuusbong na Mag-aaral ng Araling Filipino (DANUM),  the College of Liberal Arts, De La Salle University, Manila and the  Center for Batangas Studies of De La Salle University, Lipa City.

Ms. Solis is currently pursuing her Doctor’s degree in Filipino Language at Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) and is currently working on her dissertation paper. When asked of the benefit of the conference to her, she said that the opportunity to present her paper was not only an informative experience for her co-participants in the conference but also a learning experience to her. “It was very beneficial for the improvement of my paper. The feedbacks and insights drawn from writers and researchers coming from distinguished colleges and universities across the country were indeed of great help to me,” said Ms. Solis.
